A Cantata based on an Opera by Townshend Every Year in the Black Rock Desert in Northwestern Nevada tens of thousands of people gather to recreate and celebrate ephemeral art, exposed skin, body paint, and push the envelope of human tolerance across the board. They call it Burning Man and with a little reading you can see that there's a guy named Larry who fancies himself a figurehead for this shindig but it's never been too clear as to why or what he does. Larry's Holiday Camp. Tommy's Holiday Camp. Hmmm. Larry The Musical explores the obvious parallel with the classic rock opera "Tommy" The parallels become obvious when the art festival dabbles in social engineering, creating the adjective "Burner" and molding it's definition. A curious look into cognitive dissonance in an educated populace. A Preview Of Larry The Musical As Performed By The Duke Resonant Orchestra
